It's through a message on Facebook page which Valentine Debise has formalized its participation in the Czech round of the Supersport World Championship, which will take place on the weekend of July 31 in Most.

Valentine Debise : " I am pleased to announce my participation in the world supersport during the Most round at the end of July. I am committed to my structure @vrt.81. I would like to thank the Yamaha GMT94 for its technical and logistical assistance. Thank you to my partners for believing in the project and going for it with me ❤. »

The French rider who currently leads the Supersport and Superbike categories of the French FSBK Championship will be wild card in the Czech Republic with its own structure and his own motorcycle, however well supported by the GMT94 of Christophe Guyot with whom he had already participated in the Czech round last year.

But that's probably not all, since the Albigensian nicknamed VD53 also holds the rope for the wild card granted by the FFM, Yamaha and the GMT94 for the French round at Magny-Cours (September 9-11). By winning four more victories last weekend in Nièvre, including two in Supersport, the national speed leader increased his lead in the championship to 89 points with 100 remaining to be distributed.

The wild card for Magny-Cours should therefore logically be awarded to him, or rather one of the wild cards since the desire of the FFM was to develop in 2022 this additional attraction for French drivers.
In an interview that we will publish soon, the President of the French Motorcycling Federation, Sébastien Poirier, told us: “On the speed discipline, the policy of the FFM in 2022 is to accentuate what we put in place in 2021 in relation to wild cards, and to ensure that there is a strong link between the French championship and international events. So that means wild cards in the 600 Supersport category for the World Superbike at Magny-Cours in partnership with Yamaha and GMT 94. So two wild cards which will be offered by the federation, Yamaha and the GMT 94 to participate in this French Superbike Grand Prix event: we double the stake and above all we are on a young wild card and a wild card which we will qualify more sporty. It therefore offers the opportunity for our best Supersport riders to be able to try their hand at the World Superbike, and we saw the success encountered last year by Valentin Debise who really made it possible, through his Saturday times, to demonstrate that the level of the French championship was a very, very good level, since he qualified fourth on Saturday in Superpole.
So that means that it positions a championship, and then especially with the GMT 94 we have the guarantee that there is preparatory work, that is to say that we do not send the pilots who have the wild card on the Superbike without there being at least training and appropriation of the bike: there is work being done in this area.
We also have 2022, and that's the novelty, a wild card which will be offered for the 300 category, through the Flembo team. We are lucky to have a French team in the 300 world, so we are going to set up this wild card also on sporting criteria to send one of the best in the category to the 300 wild card.”

Thanks to this initiative, there are therefore no less than three French pilots who will face the world elite, and if to date none of the three names has yet been made official, we can think that that of Valentine Debise is high on the list…
