Phillip Island

The first of the two days of testing that the WSBK set up at Phillip Island in preparation for the launch of its season this weekend on the same track ended with a domination of Toprak Razgatlioglu. The Turk, who had fallen in the morning, put things back in order by beating the two official Ducatis who especially impressed with their racing pace.

In the Ducati clan, it is Michael Rinaldi who grilled his teammate world champion Alvaro Bautista. Jonathan Rhea allows Kawasaki to stay in the top 5 closed by the morning leader, Andrea Locatelli. The lead of the session was decided by only 99 thousandths, but the solid series of laps in 1'31 accomplished by Alvaro Bautista in racing configuration did not escape anyone.
