Tito Rabat is a driver known for being a hard worker. A true stakhanovist of motorcycles and his office, it is precisely his machine with which he feels the insatiable need to ride. In the disciplines which have a more or less close link with the series, this self-sacrifice has paid off. He is thus a Moto2 World Champion. But when this relationship becomes significantly distended, it is more complicated. We saw it in MotoGP where, moreover, it was never well served. A range so tempting that even pilots MotoGP of the manufacturer rode with this machine to get back into shape before returning to the Desmosedici…

If the Grand Prix drivers must comply with strict regulations which force them to only use a homeopathic dose with their powerful work tool, the same goes for the WSBK champions. Regular riders of the Superbike World Championship in 2021 are therefore only allowed to test their team and their motorcycle during ten days. But they can ride as much as they want with a production machine.

Tito Rabat does not let go of the handlebars

And no other racing driver uses this option as much as Tito Rabat. The fact that the Ducati Panigale V4S is very similar to the V4R makes private training all the more interesting for the Spaniard. With his motorcycle in the van, Rabat is constantly in motion to rack up kilometers on a circuit. speedweek took stock: in January, he trained in Cartagena and Almeria. At the beginning of February he made his debut on the Barni-Ducati in Misano and then rode the V4S again in Jerez, Mallorca and Barcelona. There are also countless MiniBike, Motocross and DirtTrack workouts.

The pilot of 31 continues its program tirelessly. In March he started with a two-day training session in Valencia. The next step for Rabat is the second test with his team Barni, which will take place on Monday and Tuesday at Misano. Suffice it to say that when the season of WSBK will begin on May 23 in Aragon, Rabat will be considered other than as a simple beginner. What if he was the big surprise of the season in WSBK?
