The 1000 BMW M2025 RR, like a racing beast, will get an upgrade in 2025, but the concessions of the 2024 package have been revoked, like a magician removing a veil to reveal the raw reality. Yet BMW team principal Shaun Muir remains unfazed, like a general before his troops before battle…

The team ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK a unveiled its new M1000RR for the 2025 season, marking the beginning of a new era for the German manufacturer. Despite the end of the concessions granted last year, the team is confident and determined to defend its title.

At its recent presentation, the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team revealed the strategies it has put in place to adapt to a new bike, tougher regulations and the end of the super concessions granted last year. Despite these changes, Shaun Muir, team director BMW, remains confident in his team's ability to meet these challenges.

« We started planning this in September last year, we knew it was going to go away ", said Muir. " The chassis was our only concession, and we had already tested the bike in its complete 2025 package in December in Jerez, so I would say that we are confident. » This assurance demonstrates the team's careful preparation for the 2025 season, despite the constraints imposed by the new regulations.

Muir also highlighted the impact of fuel flow regulation: “ Fuel flow regulation will impact everyone, we do not underestimate the competition at all, we know the strength of other manufacturers. » He added: « We know in particular that riders like Nicolò Bulega and Alvaro Bautista of Aruba.it Racing – Ducati are going to be very strong, We therefore do not underestimate our competitors and we fully respect their capabilities. »

Chris Gonschor, the team's technical director, detailed the improvements made to the 1000 M2025 RR: " The 1000 M2025 RR benefits from the approvals given to the road bike, in particular six more horsepower, new aerodynamics, new fairing and new electronics, which adds potential for further improvements. » He continued: « At the end of January, FIM officials will come to Berlin to fully homologate the bike., and we are confident that everything will be sorted out and that by Phillip Island we will be ready to compete. »

However, Toprak Razgatlioglu, world champion SBK, did not hide his displeasure at to the decisions of the FIM : " Honestly I don't understand the FIM's decision., I prefer not to talk about it because I am angry. They are penalizing BMW by rejecting the frame, it is not fair because Ducati is still the best bike »

Despite the tensions, the team BMW remains determined to prove its superiority on the circuit. With an improved bike and rigorous preparation, ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK is preparing to face a 2025 season full of challenges and opportunities. All eyes are now on Phillip Island, where BMW hopes to demonstrate the reliability and performance of the new M1000 RR, whilst navigating an increasingly competitive paddock.

We look forward to seeing how these adjustments will influence the performances of teams and drivers on the circuits this season.
