WSBK VIDEO: a word from Maverick Viñales after the tragic disappearance of his 15-year-old cousin

The Viñales family was hit hard this weekend with the death during the race of Maverick Viñales' young cousin, Dean Berta Viñales who was a WSS300 rider on a Yamaha R3 of the team... managed by Maverick's father...

A tragedy family therefore which sees one of its talented members aged only 15 years old leave this world after a fall during the WSBK competition in Jerez. A drama which interrupted the meeting on Saturday.

Maverick Vinales wanted to remember his cousin, with this tweet: “ there are no words for this moment, it was a big blow to our family, I will always remember the arguments we had at any time about anything. You are our “furious” and you will always be with us. I send you a big kiss wherever you are."

Next weekend, Maverick Vinales will be in Austin for the Grand Prix of the Americas MotoGP which he will tackle for the first time with the Aprilia RS-GP.
