The previous season, the Bardahl Evan Bros team dominated the debates with its Yamahas in the WSS championship. This year, it's even better with Locatelli coming from Moto2 and who already has his fate in hand. He just needs to finish second until the end of this campaign to be titled. But the Italian continues to string together victories like others do pearls. And that annoys. So strong that the FIM came to visit the team for a check…

The team Bardahl Evan Bros. has apparently found a magic recipe for flying on the runway a Yamaha R6. A charm under which other teams with the same bike would like to share. And who wonder. Christophe Guyot of GMT94 with Jules cluzel en pointe declared in our columns: “ first of all, the pilot is certainly very good. Then we don't have to judge the performance of his Yamaha. It is up to the FIM to evaluate. The regulations do not allow you to differentiate between motorcycles, whatever the brand. »

La END, precisely, through its technical staff, asked the Bardahl Evan Bros team to open the engines of the Yamaha R6, in order to assess whether they complied with the regulations required by the Championship. It will be recalled that these are the traditional routine checks to which all teams are subject throughout the season.

“We want to continue to achieve excellent results”

At the end of the investigation carried out, no conflicting aspect emerged, to the point that the engines were judged regular. The domination of this team must therefore be sought elsewhere. And it still continues Aragon, since Friday, Locatelli once again flew over his opponents. With this depressing comment for the competition: “ conditions were very different from last weekend, as the temperature increased significantly. But the confidence with the bike was still optimal. We improved in both sessions, and in FP2 I was also able to keep a good pace for several laps, which is very positive for the race ».

The Italian finishes: “ On Saturday we will try to be the fastest in Superpole and then try to win in Race 1. The team and I are aware that we are at an excellent level, we are working in the right way and we want to continue to achieve excellent results ».
