Yamaha Motor Europe is pleased to announce the creation of the Yamaha Racing Heritage Club, officially presented at the 2021 EICMA motorcycle show taking place in Milan, Italy. Designed to perpetuate and share Yamaha's racing history with younger generations, the Yamaha Racing Heritage Club (YRHC) will bring together carefully chosen collectors from around the world who have some of the iconic racing motorcycles of our timeline in their collection.

Collectors will be able to register their historic Yamahas with the YRHC and will have access to technical information and support from engineers who were involved in the development or maintenance of these motorcycles when they were racing, or who currently work in the Racing infrastructure from Yamaha. YRHC members will also benefit from discounts on genuine Yamaha parts and assistance in finding suitable replacement parts when original ones are no longer available due to the age of the machines.

But the scope of the YRHC is not limited to models. It will also bring together the riders who made the Yamaha name in history, reuniting them with the bikes on which they achieved their greatest successes. Collectors and riders will be the ambassadors of the Yamaha Racing Heritage, the guardians of an epic that began with a hill climb on Mount Fuji, just 10 days after the creation of the brand by Genichi Kawakami on the 1er July 1955, an essential part of Yamaha Motor's corporate culture.

The YRHC will also include current Yamaha riders, from all disciplines, which will give them and their many fans the opportunity to discover the sporting episodes of the brand and those who have shaped it directly, rather than through the pages of a book. In a number of exclusive events held throughout the year, the YRHC will bring together collectors and riders past and present, to showcase Yamaha's greatest moments in competition and share the passion and determination that has allowed us to be at the top in all disciplines.

Paolo Pavesio, Marketing and Motorsport Director, Yamaha Motor Europe:

“We founded the Yamaha Racing Heritage Club to commemorate Yamaha's rich racing history, but also to perpetuate it and bring it to life so that future generations can experience it in person. We want these motorcycles to be able to be seen and heard again, and not to remain unused in a collection. That's why one of the main goals of the YHRC is to help collectors restore and maintain their motorcycles.
Another goal is to present the human side of Yamaha's racing heritage, telling the stories of the riders who raced these iconic motorcycles and the people who developed and worked on these machines. We want to share our racing heritage with as wide an audience as possible, so the YRHC will take part in a number of events each year to showcase these historic motorcycles, bringing them together with riders from yesterday and today. today to continue our legacy. »
