For the second time in its history, the Italtrans Racing Team has propelled a Moto2 champion into MotoGP, therefore it seeks to continue its momentum in 2026.

After the intermediate category title with Enea Bastianini in 2020, the structure was created by a trio composed of the brothers Germano and Claudio Bellina and Laura Bertulessi, Team Owner reissued last year with Diogo Moreira.

With a strong and experienced team led by Roberto Brivio, Operation Manager in close collaboration with Livio Suppo, Racing ConsultantThe men from Bergamo will aim to remain at the forefront by maintaining Adrian HuertasHe arrived in Grand Prix racing last year fresh from his Supersport world title. This first year in Moto2 saw him finish the world championship in a modest 21st position overall, far behind his brilliant teammate, but the Madrid native has already shown that he isn't afraid of a challenge…

Adrian Huertas: « I'm very happy to start this new season. I'm working hard for the new championship, and the team presentation is always an important moment: it's a chance to reunite with the whole team and officially kick off 2026. I wish the entire team the best of luck and thank Italtrans. »

On the other side of the blue box, Daniel Munoz will be competing in his first full season (we hope) in Moto2, after a first attempt was cut short by the demise of the Preicanos Racing team. The few races he completed in 2025 nevertheless allowed him to reach the podium in Barcelona and finish just ahead Adrian Huertas in the general classification.

Daniel Munoz: “I’m thrilled to begin this new adventure. The Italtrans Racing team is the best in Moto2 and the reigning world champion. It’s an honor to be a part of it, and I can’t wait to give it my all in every race. I’m ready to learn, improve, and have fun, with the goal of achieving excellent results. This season represents a unique opportunity for me, and I will do everything I can to live up to the team’s confidence in me.”

It's difficult to say who will gain the upper hand on the Italian team's Kalex bikes, but, at least on paper, they don't seem truly capable of achieving a third consecutive victory in 2026 against more experienced riders such as, for example Manuel Gonzalez, Barry Baltus, Aron Canet, Jake Dixon ou Daniel Holgado, also in top-tier teams.

In any case, the Italtrans Racing team unveiled its 2026 liveries at the headquarters of the road transport company.
During the evening, a special moment was dedicated to Diogo Moreira The Brazilian rider, who will compete in MotoGP in 2026, was the guest of honor at the presentation and will continue to represent Italtrans' values as an official brand ambassador. This connection, which extends beyond the racing circuit, demonstrates the strength of a project capable of supporting its talented riders towards prestigious new challenges.

Laura Bertulessi, Team Owner, Managing Director of Italtrans: “The second Moto2 riders’ title, won in 2025 after Enea Bastianini’s in 2020, is a dream come true that we will always carry with us,” he proudly emphasized.
“This is the result of long-term work, the passion and sacrifices of an extraordinary group of people who never stopped believing in this project. At the same time, this success represents a new starting point: we approach 2026 with ambition, enthusiasm, and confidence, motivated to continue progressing and taking on new challenges. We firmly believe in our riders and are convinced that Adrián and Daniel will give their all with great professionalism. We are also proud to see Diogo continue his MotoGP career while maintaining a link with Italtrans as an ambassador: this is proof that here, we are not just building results, but also stories and values meant to last.”

Livio Suppo : “It’s an honor to be part of this Italtrans project: we will do everything to continue to uphold the company’s values within the team. The goal is to be among the frontrunners in the category with our two drivers, and we will do everything we can to provide them with the best conditions to achieve this!”

Roberto Brivio : “Having turned the page on an extremely positive 2025 season, we are ready to tackle 2026, which will begin very soon with the official tests at Portimão and Jerez. This year, the team will field two Spanish riders: Huertas, who returns and from whom we expect further progress, and Muñoz, who already has a foundation of experience in Moto2. The objective is to approach the championship progressively, race by race, working with continuity and determination to define, as the season progresses, the objectives to be achieved.”

The preseason tests, the February 14 and 15 à Portimão, then the February 19 and 20 à JerezHowever, they will give us a first glimpse of the forces at play, before everything heads off to Thailand, the venue for the first of the twenty-two rounds of the 2026 season. February 27 to March 1.
