Lorenzo MotoGP

Five-time Grand Prix World Champion and MotoGP Legend Jorge Lorenzo, now a consultant for DAZN, was recently scammed. Indeed, on his social networks, he admitted to being in trouble with the law over a Ferris wheel case, which sounds a bit like a sham, we have to admit. But what is this absurd story? We'll explain everything to you.

Jorge Lorenzo, triple world champion MotoGP, retired from the sport at the end of the 2019 season. Subsequently, the Spaniard embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, sharing his new life on social media. Thus, with someone he considered a friend, he invested in a Ferris wheel located in Vieste, southern Italy. However, this attraction is now putting him in a real pickle, and he is even calling on people not to go there!

Here is what the Majorcan had to say about it: « I started a business, bought the Ferris wheel, which cost me 1,4 million euros including tax, and signed a four-year lease. Unfortunately, I didn't trust the right person with the investments, because I trusted someone I considered a friend. It was agreed that, during the four-year contract, he would pay me a monthly payment for the rental of the Ferris wheel, but he began paying me more and more late. The last euro I received was in September 2024, exactly one year ago. After all these months of not paying me, the debt amounted to more than 200 euros. » he said in the program Interior la Notiza broadcast on Canale 5, as reported by Motosan.

Since then, he has of course taken legal action. « In September 2024, a year ago, we filed a criminal and civil complaintIn my opinion, their intention is to keep the money without paying me. The value of the wheel, which is visibly deteriorating, is decreasing day by day. On their company's official Instagram account, they keep mentioning my name and writing that the ambassador is Jorge Lorenzo. The situation is surreal. It's Jorge Lorenzo's wheel, but don't go there » he concluded.
