After his disappearance in the USA and Qatar, the parade pilots MotoGP is back for the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez!
A tradition that satisfies both the spectators present, in large numbers today in Jerez de la Frontera for the Spanish Grand Prix, but also the drivers for whom it is the only time when they can communicate together, it had been taken as a constraint at the start of the 2023 season by the most skeptical.
It has now been adopted with a certain benevolence, at least when the weather is mild as it is today at the Jerez – Angel Nieto circuit.
It also allows us to collect the last words of the drivers, after the morning warm-up and before the Grand Prix, like those of fabio quartararo, interviewed by Pol Espargaro :
Fabio, just with that, you have to take off the headphones. You have to fill this up, my friend...
"No, no, no, I just put it on, but the atmosphere is completely crazy, apart from the announcer who was yelling at 6:45. But yes, it's incredible to see the images from the night, with all the lights. It's one of my favorite GPs."
What happened this weekend? We saw you complaining a bit at the beginning of the season, because the pre-season was good but you didn't get the results you were hoping for, but then you arrived in Europe, in Jerez, and the results were incredible, with a pole position. What are your expectations for today's race?
"Yes, since Qatar we haven't touched the bike's settings much, we tried to find the bike's limit and here we found it, especially in qualifying and in the second lap of qualifying we already saw that we had already exceeded the limit, but I'm very happy. I'm very happy. Let's see if we can finish the race today. We know we lack a little pace to fight with the two brothers who are very fast, but I will do my best to fight for the podium today."
And to feel those fans again here in Spain, in Europe?
"It's incredible to see this circuit so full and to see that there are people even on the grass, on top of everything else, and that's very good. Let's hope there will be these kinds of fans all over Europe."
Let's see what the Andalusian version has in store for us... with probably a very big atmosphere, the spectators already being there at 6:30 this morning, while it was still dark!
