The drivers arrive at the British circuit for the twelfth meeting of the season, and the bets are completely open. Indeed, if Jorge Martín risked losing big due to his broken wrist, the Spaniard ultimately only arrived twelve points behind Marco Bezzecchi, his opponents having missed out on their Grands Prix, Bezzecchi in Brno , and Arón Canet and Fabio Di Giannantonio in Austria. The Championship could therefore be shaken up again this weekend, especially since the weather is uncertain and rain is expected on Sunday for the race. You will also have to watch out for John Mcphee, the local of the stage, who will do everything to get on the podium. Hostilities begin this Friday at 10 a.m. French time.

Here are the results compared on the Silverstone circuit between 2017 and 2018:

The plateau rises under a cloudy sky and a very cool wind. It is in fact 13 degrees in the air and 16 degrees on the track. Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing) was the first to set the reference time in 2'19.362. This is five seconds slower than last year, however this is not significant because the asphalt has been resurfaced.

After ten minutes, John Mcphee (CIP – Green Power) made a mistake in turn 4 and got up limping, while his bike was badly damaged. In front, Philipp Oettl always leads Niccolo Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corsica), Tony Arbolino (Marinelli Snipers Team), Kaito Toba (Honda Team Asia) and Arón Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0).

Mid-session, it's always the duo composed of Philipp Oettl et Nicolò Antonelli who leads the hostilities. Behind, we find Albert Arenas (Angel Nieto Team Moto3), Kaito Toba et Tony Arbolino. Afterwards, Aron Canet, Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard Racing), Andrea Migno (Angel Nieto Team Moto3), Marco Bezzecchi (PruestlGP) and Jakub Kornfeil (PruestlGP) complete the top 10. Jorge Martín (Del Conca Gresini) is eleventh and Fabio DiGiannantonio (Del Conca Gresini) eighteenth.

Ten minutes before the end, the rookie Jaume Masia (Bester Capital Dubai) took the best time, but he passed by only a thousandth by Niccolo Antonelli in the next round. In the last five minutes, Cornfeel knocks out the competition by crossing the line eight tenths ahead and takes first place. Marco Bezzecchi et Aron Canet immediately returned to three and six tenths by taking second and third places. Nevertheless, Philipp Oettl everyone agrees by taking the best time by six tenths. On the last lap, the guest driver Tom Booth Amos (Leopard Racing) made a mistake in turn 16, fortunately not serious.
