Before the week begins to lead us to a crunching Italian Grand Prix on the Mugello track, there are drivers preparing to announce their presence or absence. Their decision is looked at more or less closely depending on their notoriety. For example, the case Valentino Rossi strongly mobilizes. But there are others which arouse less interest. And yet, one of them is a reigning World Champion. That of Moto3 from last season Brad Binder for example.

The South African had to leave the stage on the evening of a courageous Argentine Grand Prix but revealing a medical situation to be reviewed. Brad Binder crashed violently during the off-season while testing his new KTM. He was treated, but his bruised left forearm is still causing him problems.

The copy therefore had to be revised in surgery, which kept him out of competition in Austin, Jerez and France. Three Grands Prix that the test driver of the Austrian brand accomplished in his place, bringing home points on each occasion. Ricard Cardus therefore did its job well.

But for Mugello which is on the horizon, Brad Binder would like to get his handlebars back. On the subject, boss Aki Ajo commented on speedweek : “ we are considering the return of Brad Binder to Mugello. The decision will be made this Monday, when we will be certain that he is at 100% capacity ».

In the championship, after only two races contested, he was nineteenth with the seven points scored in Argentina despite a plate placed in his freedom-loving left forearm. The one who replaced her during the last three meetings, Ricard Cardus, has exactly the same number of points as him.

The leader of the team Miguel Oliveira showed the full potential of Mattighofen's new machine. Fourth in the provisional general standings, the Portuguese already has two podiums won in Argentina and Jerez. However, Le Mans was a failure with a seventeenth place finish.
