Tsuji is now the President of Yamaha Motor Racing, while remaining General Manager of Yamaha Motorsport Development Division. After a 2017 season which started superbly in MotoGP, but continued in a more laborious manner, he explains here what are Yamaha's deep motivations for competition.

“Yamaha and the factory team in MotoGP have three goals in motorsport. The first is technology and the transfer of that technology into the series and our products. The second point is the promotion of Yamaha products. The third point concerns motorsport activities that we want to make visible all over the world. »

“My focus so far has been technology and development. From now on I have a new role, for which I will contribute more to the second and third points. Lin Jarvis is one of the main players in motorsport at Yamaha in Europe. I will now further support Japan's activities so that we achieve our goals. »

“Yamaha has three strengths. We have an excellent sponsor like Movistar who supports our project. Add to this Valentino et Maverick, two great pilots. We have a great staff who support our competitive activities. We bring great employees from all over the world to our team. »

“We also have Yamaha riders from Italy, Spain, France and test riders from Japan. Our team members also come from different countries and cultures. It enriches us. »

“Yamaha’s 500th Grand Prix victory was an important factor in our statistics and a milestone. For 2018, however, there is only one goal and that is the world title”

“This is our short-term objective: MotoGP itself gives credibility to our company in the long term. This concerns all our products. We work tirelessly to deliver a better quality machine to our riders. »

“Over the last ten years we have shown very good performances in the MotoGP World Championship, we want to use this in the future, for ten years or more, we want to make our philosophy and the attractiveness of motorcycling known in the whole world. The results from Valentino and Maverick help us with this. »
