The Frecce Tricolori, the Italian air patrol, will greet the Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna Grand Prix by flying over the starting straight of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, next Sunday at 13:52 p.m., one minute before the transalpine national anthem.

Using smoke bombs, the national acrobatic patrol will create the longest Italian flag in the world, using nine planes (and one solo!) Aermacchi MB-339PAN with Rolls-Royce engine used since the 70s as a two-seater trainer.

Before that, on Friday afternoon, a reduced formation of Frecce Tricolori will make its mark during practice for the Grand Prix. As in previous times, Emilia-Romagna and its Motor Valley are the theater chosen to highlight Italian excellence.

The link between the Italian Air Force and the world of motor sports is well established: Innovation, modernity and technology are in fact the components that have always united the planes of the Italian Air Force and the motorcycle teams. . Dare we suggest they also bring some yellow smoke bombs?
