Moto2 finally arrives in Brazil, the home country of its reigning world champion, Diogo Moreira, now competing in MotoGP. The Grand Prix is one of the most anticipated of the season and will represent a major challenge for the riders, who will be studying an unfamiliar track throughout the weekend. In the championship standings, Manuel Gonzalez arrives in Goiânia as the leader, having won a race shortened by half in Thailand due to multiple red flags. The points were halved, and the gap between the leaders remains small.

Despite repeated attacks from Daniel Munoz (11th on the grid but with a blistering start), Daniel Holgado masterfully managed the beginning of the race. After an excellent start, the Aspar driver briefly saw the lead snatched from him by the aforementioned rival, before regaining it and extending his lead. Holgado then reeled off a series of fast laps to pull away from car number 17 by precious tenths of a second after six laps.
Behind the leading duo, Alex Escrig and Manuel Gonzalez are pushing David Alonso further away from the podium. Initially battling with the 2025 runner-up, the Colombian loses pace and struggles to keep up.
At the halfway point, Daniel Holgado had a lead of almost a second over Daniel Munoz, while Alex Escrig had also significantly increased his advantage over Manuel Gonzalez. There was little action left at the front.

The suspense resumed, however, when Alex Escrig caught up with Daniel Munoz. There were still about ten laps to go. The threat was short-lived. Munoz quickly upped the pace, even closing in on Holgado, trying to make things difficult for him. With five laps remaining, the battle for victory intensified.
He tried his luck three laps from the finish, attempting to overtake. However, Daniel Holgado wasn't finished yet, and regained the lead on the following lap. After definitively eliminating the threat, he cruised to victory. Having set the fastest time in Q1 and Q2, and winning the race, Daniel Holgado left nothing for his rivals this Sunday.
Behind them, Manuel Gonzalez was closing in fast on Alex Escrig, who tried everything to hold him off. However, on the final lap, the winner of the Thai Grand Prix snatched a podium finish after a hard-fought battle. Barry Baltus never really found his rhythm in this race and finished in 15th position.
