This time the romance between the Gresini team and Enea Bastianini is well and truly over. A couple who had already almost separated last year. While the Italian's future plans are still to be defined, the team has already set its roadmap. It will be with the revelation Di Giannantonio and Jorge Martin.

Fabio Di Giannantonio et George Martin. This is what will bet on Fausto Gresini for its structure involved in Moto3. An announcement made a week after that concerning the destinies of its Moto2 troops who will spearhead Jorge Navarro.

The young 17-year-old Italian is logically rewarded for his excellent first season in Moto3. After a decent start, he continued to gain momentum and, after twelve starts, he already claims three podiums. Two second places won on his Italian lands and in Assen, then a third place in the Czech Republic. He is seventh in the championship with 62 points and is the second best beginner overall, behind a Open up fifth with 100 points. However, over the last seven races, he is one of those who has scored the most points. Alone Brad Binder did better than him!

« I am happy to continue in the World Championship with Gresini Racing » commented the transalpine Fabio. “ My first season is going very well and I didn't expect to progress so quickly or to achieve such results. The team helped me a lot and continuing with them next year is excellent news »

His teammate will be Jorge Martin which will therefore leave the Aspar fold and the Mahindra adventure. Currently dominated by his teammate bagnaia, the Spaniard still claims a podium this year, thanks to his second place taken in Brno. He is seventeenth in the championship with 46 points: “ I am very happy to have the opportunity to join the Gresini Racing team, which has achieved excellent results throughout its history. I needed a new challenge, which comes with a new bike, in order to continue my maturation process and I am therefore very grateful to Gresini Racing ».

George Martin, however, don't forget where it comes from: " I would also like to thank the Aspar team. Two years ago, when I was 16, they gave me the opportunity to make my debut in the World Championship and I thank them for their work, they made me grow as a driver and I will never forget it »
