Moto3 Austria Qualifying: Fenati pulls away and more incidents

This time, we have entered the moments that count in this Moto3 Austrian Grand Prix, whose field was agitated this morning in FP3.

It was Guevera who put an end to the free practice sessions for this Austrian Grand Prix this Saturday morning, which is now getting to the heart of the matter with qualifying. The South African with Filip Salac (CarXpert Pruestel GP), Tatsuki suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse), was outside the Top 14 and Peter Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo), which the leader in the World Championship narrowly integrated with his 13th time.

28.3° in the air and 34.7° on the track and no chance of a downpour are the conditions offered to the drivers who will have to compete in two halves. A Q1 from which four drivers will emerge and a Q2 where pole position will be decided. A competition that no longer concerns Yamanaka, who did not recover from his fall during the FP3, Provoked by Rodrigo.

Chronos Q1 :

Q2 begins straight away with the four new additions to the squad. We learn that Rodrigo is punished, he will start from the pitlane for the race due to his collision with Yamanaka hurt. But the same Rodrigo clings with Suzuki at turn 9. Suzuki is however best time in 1'35.921. It's a bad time for Rodrigo...

Reminder of the incident with Yamanaka :

The last five minutes have begun. Acosta goes second. Rodrigo is third but for honor. This is his incident with Suzuki who was brought to the medical center.

Under the checkered flag, fenati signs pole position in 1'35.850 ahead Suzuki at the medical center, Alcoba, Masia et Öncü who deprives his teammate Sasaki of the top 5. Acosta follows, Rodrigo punished too, and Foggia as Nepa complete the top 10. Garcia is only 14th.
