It's now official, Kaito Toba will ride in the colors of Alain Bronec's CIP – Green Power team in 2021.
It will replace Darryn binder leaving for the Petronas team after being trained by the French team.
Like the latter, Kaito Toba will arrive from the Red KTM Ajo structure where he currently rides after having studied at Honda Team Asia.
Already winner of a Grand Prix (Qatar 2019), the Japanese rider is 20 years old, which no longer classifies him as a “young hopeful” in the Moto3 category.
Like the one he will replace, he arrived in Grands Prix through the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup (and the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™), after winning the Asia Talent Cup in 2014. In 2017, the native of Fukuoka then made his arrival in the Moto3™ world championship.
Alain Bronec has always had good relations with different structures in the land of the rising sun and has often given Japanese drivers a chance, whether it is the first or a third, as in this case...
The other driver of the CIP – Green Power team has not yet been made official.
