Even more than yesterday, the Moto3 riders found this morning a track wet by overnight rain for the intermediate day of official testing before the first Grand Prix of the 2023 season which will take place in a week on this same Portimão circuit.

Only four drivers considered it useful to take the track of the Autodromo do Algarve and, for the anecdote, Scott Ogden (Vision Track Racing Team), leader of the private tests in Jerez, recorded the best time, far from the benchmarks.

The track conditions then improved and, again like yesterday, the Brazilian Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets – MSI) won in the intermediate session, this time ahead of David Muñoz (BOE Motorsports) and Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech3).

Finally, the last session of the day allowed us to achieve the best time of the tests so far, under the leadership of the same Diogo Moreira before Daniel Holgado, Scott Ogden, Roman Fenati (Rivacold Snipers Team) and Ricardo Rossi (SIC58 Squadra Corsica).

Jaume Masia (Leopard Racing), leader yesterday but victim of a fall leading to a red flag today, is only in 11th position in today's combined standings, while Deniz Oncu (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Lorenzo Fellon (CIP Green Power) struggled to really perform this Saturday, on a day where only a good half of the field managed to improve their time from the day before.
