Between Jack Miller and Cal Crutchlow there is a bond that the 10-year age difference has not slowed down. It’s a very nice message of encouragement that Cal Crutchlow sent to his former teammate, but still a friend behind the scenes although an adversary on the track, Jack Miller. The latter is guaranteed to wear a red suit in 2021, with an option for 2022. Which means that he will not have to linger on the road and convince people of his abilities from the first races of the next season.
However, he is not a beginner. And it was his good results last year that convinced Ducati to raise him in rank, to the detriment of their compatriot Danilo Petrucci. The Australian has won five podiums and in the last ten races of 2019, he has reached the third step four times, including that of his home race, at Phillip Island.
“He’s the one they need”
Cal Crutchlow comments: “ Jack is one of the few drivers who has the talent to beat Marc in one season. He managed to get on the podium even at home, and that's an incredible result for any driver. He undoubtedly has enough abilities and I think he is in no way inferior to other MotoGP riders ».
