This midday, an official press release from the Gresini Racing team leaves a feeling of concern regarding Fausto Gresini.
The boss of the Italian structure which runs the Aprilia MotoGP, among others, was in fact transferred today from the Imola hospital where he had been staying since last Sunday to a more specialized hospital in Bologna.
While waiting for news that we hope will be more reassuring, we simply hope that this does not mean a worsening of the state of health of the 125-year-old double 59cc world champion.
UPDATE ON FAUSTO GRESINI’S CONDITION
Following the positivity for Covid-19 discovered shortly before the Christmas holidays, Fausto Gresini, after a first period of isolation at home, was hospitalized on December 27 at the Santa Maria della Scaletta hospital in Imola.
The Gresini Racing team principal was transported today to the Maggiore Carlo Alberto Pizzardi Hospital in Bologna, in a more specialized department for Covid-19 care.
Fausto's health is constantly monitored. Further updates will follow.
