Among those changing saddles this year, some MotoGP riders have already had the opportunity to go to the headquarters of their new team.

For example, this has already been the case several times for Danilo Petrucci at KTM in Austria, as well as more recently for Fabio Quartararo in Gerno di Lesmo, the headquarters of the Monster Yamaha Factory Racing team, a stone's throw from the Monza circuit in Italy.

Asked by Canal + on this first, the French pilot mainly discovered the place and its new management.

fabio quartararo : “It’s true that this visit did me good, even if we didn’t really do anything special, but seeing the factory and the atmosphere there, not in the team but with the team manager, with Lin (Jarvis), it’s already something exceptional. I don't know him that much but I'm really looking forward to starting the season and a new adventure for me.
It's certain that I'll have the chance to really give my impressions of the bike, and Yamaha will listen to me. Last year, I think it was more of a confirmation on my part, and here I think we're going to say that I'm going to develop the bike but I think that I'm a little bit more in the Yamaha family as a official driver. So I think it's quite exceptional. And above all, it's a childhood dream to be an official Yamaha rider and I can't wait to start the test adventure. »

The work with the manufacturer that he represents has therefore not really started, unlike always for example Danilo Petrucci who has both already benefited from wind tunnel sessions to define the particular aerodynamics he will benefit from this season and from a week at Red Bull's APC (Athlete Performance Center) to perfect his physical condition.

But the objective ofThe Devil remains as clear as possible: “The objective is to fight for the title, clearly. It's not going to be easy. We know that everyone has great abilities but I am here to fight. As I said earlier, I know my abilities, I am ready to give everything, I give everything, I train hard Yamaha gives the maximum, so I am ready for the challenge. »

The first official MotoGP test is scheduled for March 5 in Qatar, but it is entirely possible that Fabio Quartararo stretches his legs on a production R1 until then, like his teammate Maverick Vinales who recently visited Alès...
