After five years of work, the project is finished.
A few months after the death of Marco Simoncelli on October 23, 2011, his parents created a foundation in his name in order to carry out projects to help the weakest and most deprived, a value that was dear to the deceased pilot.
Several projects have seen the light of day since its creation in 2012, and for five years the Foundation has been working on a new project which has just been completed. This is the Marco Simoncelli House which will be inaugurated on January 20 at 11:30 a.m. in Sant'Andrea in Besanigo, in Emilia-Romagna. This house will be a reception center for disabled people and their families. They will thus have qualified staff at their disposal as well as a suitable structure to make their daily lives easier.
Five years were necessary to finance the project (thanks to the various events organized each year by the Foundation such as Spurtlèda58, Motoraduni, Buon Compleanno, etc.) and complete its construction.
The date of January 20 was not chosen at random since it is Marco's birthday who would have been 32 this year.
