Remy gardner

Remy Gardner has a manager named Paco Sanchez and it's a name we've been hearing a lot about lately. And not for the better. For Wayne Gardner, the father of Remy, former world champion from the 500 era, if his son no longer finds a place in MotoGP, it is his responsibility. At KTM, he was crushed by sporting director Pit Beirer who considered him the worst scourge since Covid-19 in the paddock. The person concerned, until then, had kept his back. But now that his rider has a Yamaha contract in WSBK to continue his career, he is coming out of the woods and emptying his bag. Be careful, it will sting...

Paco Sanchez, the man who was identified by the management of KTM as remaking the world hooked to his cell phone, is also the manager of Joan mir. He is coming out of a tense period of negotiations where the market played against his two drivers who suffered directly, and collaterally, from the brutal decision of Suzuki to retire from MotoGP at the end of this year: “ Remy was a collateral victim of Suzuki's abandonment » we read on Todocircuito.

« We were unable to find another bike when KTM informed us they no longer wanted it. In June they had a preferential right to extend the contract, but once this option is lifted there is a month where we must notify them of any offer so that they can match it and thus continue » he said. He even adds: “ During this time I spoke with KTM management. They always told me they trusted us to continue ". But at the Red Bull Ring, everything changed: “ in Austria I was already talking to other teams to have a plan B and even C, but no MotoGP team gave Remy an opportunity ».

Did Remy Gardner " dressed inappropriately » for KTM?

Certainly, but what is the criticism? KTM to the rookie who arrived under his colors in the Tech3 team, still with the halo of a Moto2 World Champion title. The answer seems surreal: “ The blow came in Austria when they called me to a meeting and told me that they did not want to continue with Remy. They told me that Remy was not professional as the only explanation. HAS Jerez, we were also told that they thought that he was not professional enough. In this case, they told us they thought he wasn't strong enough and that he was dressed inappropriately. Rémy wore shorts and the team polo shirt ».

Among the grievances against Remy gardner, there would therefore be a disavowed dress code which encompasses a set identified as a “lack of professionalism”. This last mention was also put forward by Remy Gardner but denied by Pete Beirer who swears never to have made this reproach to his pilot. It is clear that someone is lying to another. One truth though: it’s time for this to end. Paco Sanchez finally concluded a contract with Yamaha for the Sydney rider to compete in WorldSBK with the GRT satellite team.
