Johann Zarco, Marc Márquez and Pedro Acosta having amusing exchanges with the public during the Australian MotoGP Grand Prix: these are the images you shouldn't have missed this weekend.

Today, MotoGP riders and teams , as well as those in other championships, communicate as much, if not more, on Instagram than through traditional press releases. Having become the essential social network for the paddock, it allows users to stay up-to-date on all the news, follow their daily lives, and discover behind-the-scenes glimpses of Grand Prix events, training sessions, and travel.

In our "Seen on Instagram" section, we bring you the must-see posts of the day. It complements our weekly Instagram Top 10 , offering a recap of the day's most impactful posts or a more detailed look at specific ones, depending on current events. It's another way to stay up-to-date with all the latest MotoGP news, and much more!

Throughout the Australian Grand Prix, the drivers met with spectators in the fan zone. This provided an opportunity to interact with them, much like the tradition at the French Grand Prix, and to share some great moments of laughter, which were then captured on the official account.

When asked by the presenter about Australians not sleeping all season to watch the races due to jet lag, Johann Zarco suggested requesting a public holiday from the government on Monday. This proposal was met with enthusiasm!

📸 The other image to remember

An iconic Australian celebration, the shooey (drinking from one's shoe) was brought to the forefront in MotoGP thanks to Jack Miller , who did it during his victories and podium finishes throughout his career.

Marc Márquez was asked by a fan to perform a handstand on stage, something the #93 rider declined but offered to do to the fan who requested it, and the fan complied. This gesture greatly amused the Ducati rider and those present: his brother Álex Márquez , Iker Lecuona , and Francesco Bagnaia.

👀 The bonus

Pedro Acosta has been sporting a mullet for a few months now, the iconic Australian hairstyle. Although his is starting to get quite substantial and he feels he's beginning to deserve an Australian passport, he's faced some competition from the public, with a man sporting a very original haircut.
