Today it appears that the version of the new Ducati fairing tested by Jorge Lorenzo during the first day of testing at the Czech Grand Prix was not complete or final.

Indeed, on this Saturday, Danilo Petrucci rolled with an even bulkier version. A priori, it is the latter which will be approved by Ducati, taking into account the fact that, according to the regulations, elements can then be dismantled but it is forbidden to add them.

For the moment, alone Danilo Petrucci uses the full version while Jorge Lorenzo preferred to try only the upper part. Despite support equivalent to 40% of that provided by the fins in 2016, Andrea Dovizioso has announced that he does not want to use it this weekend, whatever version it may be, and prefers to concentrate on the race.

Looking closely at the photos, however, we realize that these are probably only provisional models, the external, lateral and removable parts being different and apparently not allowing simple dismantling of the lower part...

In short, for the moment, Danilo Petrucci can physically remove the middle fins, and apparently keep only the lower part, but probably not (yet?) transform its fairing into that of Jorge Lorenzo (see GPone photo gallery).

In short, a real Italian micmac which is already making Aprilia scream with rage, accusing its compatriot of betraying the spirit of the regulations!
Obviously, we haven't finished hearing about fairings encompassing fins...
