Just before going to Barcelona where he was on the podium last year, Johann zarco made a brief visit to the Pôle Mécanique d'Alès circuit, just to beat the lap record...

This one, held until now by Alan Techer in 1'13.393 since the round of the 2021 French FSBK championship, was improved by no less than a good half-second by the training Ducati of the Pramac rider.

Riding his red Panigale V4S, John Zarco lowered the track benchmark by two kilometers to 1'12.82, before commenting: “A milestone! Record on the circuit @polemecaniqueales validated by the BMO of Alès!!😁😁🙈
Followed by good meat at @legendsvalley with Poupou🥰”.

Previously, Johann zarco was already the circuit holder in 600cc, in 1'14.04 aboard a Yamaha R6.

The performance, the relaxed tone now with its future fixed, all of this bodes well for Barcelona this weekend…
