Miracle on Phillip Island! The sky is blue AND the track at 26° is dry, for this warm-up extended by 5 minutes due to the weather disturbances of the two previous days. Even if the wind is still present, we are certainly not going to be choosy!
After his two falls yesterday, it will be particularly interesting to follow the rhythm of Johann zarco as well as that of its championship rival, Alex Rins, slower than the Frenchman by 4 tenths in qualifying.

The session begins with the minor fall of Luca Marini at turn #2.
After a few minutes, alex rins is positioned 2 hundredths just behind the provisional leader,
Jonas Folger, which then runs in 1'34.297, while Johann zarco looks much more cautious at 0,9 seconds behind.
Midway through the session, the French driver picked up the pace slightly and positioned himself 7th, behind Lowes, Folger, Rins, Morbidelli, Cortese, Nakagami et Simeon.
We then note the current good performance of Xavi Virginie and his Mistral Tech3 who entered the Top 10 after qualifying 7th yesterday.
Sam Lowes intends to maintain its 2016 crash record, all categories combined, which it brings to 26 at turn #1, thus increasing it by 4 units this weekend.

As in Moto3, the last minutes do not see any major changes with the exception of the takeover of Franco Morbidelli at the last second.
Xavier Simeon finished 10th, John Zarco 12th by 6 tenths.
