After a resounding victory in the Aragon Grand Prix yesterday, Sam Lowes and the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Team returned to Motorland Aragon today for a day of post-race testing. The 26-year-old English driver continues to work hard with the Öhlins team and technicians to seek improvements ahead of future races in Japan, Australia and Malaysia.
The team mainly worked on the suspensions, continuing to focus on the pace in the race with excellent results: during testing, Lowes showed a better pace than the one that yesterday allowed him to win the Grand Prix with more than 3 seconds ahead.
Sam Lowes : “It was a very positive test because we improved our race pace compared to yesterday. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it because it was already very good! In addition, we also improved our fastest lap of the weekend. The team did a fantastic job, as always, and the new parts from Öhlins showed good results, so we will use them directly for the next Grand Prix in Japan. I’m very happy, it’s been a great weekend and I’m looking forward to racing in Motegi.”
