With only 25 examples of the Yamaha R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary produced, there probably won't be enough for everyone, but if you have €159, hurry up and read what follows.

Will we see these 25 very exclusive machines on the circuits during track days or will they remain safe in private collections? Time will tell…

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the iconic R1, Yamaha Motor Europe, through its GYTR PRO Shop network, will offer its customers the unique opportunity to discover the performance of a world champion, thanks to a range of Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR®) PRO performance parts developed alongside Yamaha's Superbike and Endurance World Championship racing programs.

Designed by the same Yamaha Motor Research & Development Europe (YMRE) engineers responsible for the development of the R1 WorldSBK, the GYTR PRO parts range brings WorldSBK performance within reach of Yamaha customers for the first time.

The GYTR PRO parts range for the R1 includes, among other things, a super strong and lightweight carbon rear subframe, designed to accommodate a modified tank with a lower center of gravity and the Magneti Marelli ECU. The Öhlins FGR front fork and TTX rear shock with pneumatic preload adjustment provide more predictable handling and the same level of suspension adjustability available to Yamaha's professional riders. An under-frame swingarm, developed specifically for Yamaha's WorldSBK racing program, improves maximum lean angle and grip at the rear, while Brembo braking components front and rear rear provide the ultimate stopping power. The carbon fiber bodywork is ultra-strong, lightweight and has been designed with the screen to provide optimal aerodynamic performance.

The GYTR PRO Electronic System (GPES) module is also available. It is a state-of-the-art system for engine control and data acquisition, developed by YMRE for WorldSBK and the FIM World Endurance Championship. The GPES includes the latest rider assistance software, such as anti-wheelie, launch control, engine braking management, adjustable power and anti-slip, and comes with an adjustment of Ready-to-use base that provides an excellent starting point for on-track adjustments.

Creating such a range of unique performance parts has taken years of development at the highest level, with Yamaha WorldSBK riders Toprak Razgatlıoğlu and Andrea Locatelli, as well as test rider Niccolò Canepa, all playing crucial roles in the development process. Yamaha ambassador and nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi received an R1 equipped with a selection of GYTR PRO performance parts during the GYTR PRO concept presentation at EICMA.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the R1, Yamaha Motor Europe has ordered an exclusive run of 25 R1s which will be hand-built from the chassis up and fitted with the full range of GYTR PRO performance parts. La R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary will be assembled exclusively by experienced technicians in one of 25 GYTR PRO Shops across Europe and will be immediately identifiable as the ultimate track day tool thanks to the special commemorative livery that adorns the developed carbon fiber bodywork for the race.

The R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary, whose specifications are as close as possible to those of Yamaha's world championship racing motorcycles, can only be ordered online, with customers also able to specify in which GYTR Pro Shop the motorcycle will be prepared based on their exact needs.

To ensure they can fully realize the incredible potential of their R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary, each of the 25 owners will also spend a day on a race circuit with a team of Yamaha technicians. After initial on-track adjustments, owners will follow the exact same process used by Yamaha teams in the world championship with riders such as Toprak Razgatlıoğlu to fine-tune the bike's settings to suit their specific riding style.

The combination of the exclusive and race-proven specifications of the R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary and technical expertise available at Yamaha's GYTR PRO workshops, provides a unique opportunity for Yamaha customers to own what is, without doubt, the ultimate R1.

With a limited number of 25 motorcycles available, potential owners will have to act quickly if they don't want to miss their chance.
