Today, for the first time, a rider from South-East Asia took the wheel of a MotoGP.

The task was not easy for Hafizh Syahrin which had to take the measure of a competition motorcycle with nearly 300 horsepower and a circuit unknown to everyone, all with a temperature peaking at 43°...

The Malaysian driver of the Tech3 team, however, did rather well, starting cautiously and improving his times throughout these nine runs.

He certainly finished last, but only half a second behind Mika Kallio, Xavier Siméon and Tom Luthi after 70 laps.

Hafiz Syahrin : “Today was my first day in MotoGP and we did a fantastic job with the team. I feel really good, with the bike, and with my guys who are working. I have an absolutely positive first impression. Every time we went out on the track, we were able to improve the time, which is very important for me. I'm trying to keep moving forward like this, gaining more confidence on the bike. Today we did a lot of laps and a few test starts. It was so interesting. »
