The Ducati Superbikes impressed at Aragón, particularly Scott Redding's machine. The hunt for Jonathan Rea continues, but what if the opponent becomes… Garrett Gerloff?

The work continues for the Superbike teams at Motorland Aragón, with Ducati once again playing a leading role today. If yesterday Chaz Davies came forward today Scott Redding wanted to make things clear. The Aruba driver not only broke the wall of 49 at Motorland, but comes within 13 thousandths of the current record held by Jonathan Rhea (established during last season's Superpole) in 1'48.767.

Ducati with a trident!
Not a bad business card for Ducati, also thanks to the great performances of Michael Ruben Rinaldi et Chaz Davies, who maintain a special relationship with Aragón. This year, the Borgo Panigale builder takes out a trident to seek the crown of Sale and Kawasaki, and the three riders will be on the starting line eager to attack hard. A fleet of pilots which also includes Tito Rabat, although the Spanish MotoGP rookie is currently more detached.

What if Gerloff was ready for combat?
Among the many opponents, however, there is one who could invite himself into combat. Garrett gerloff continues to offer convincing performance and, even on the second day of testing, it did not ride badly, coming within a few tenths of Michael Ruben Rinaldi and being faster than Chaz Davies. The American also continues to be ahead of the official rookie Andrea Locatelli, who, session after session, continues to improve his references.

OK for Bassani, less for Ponsson
Another rookie, Axel Bassani, had a good performance this afternoon, beating Tito Rabat. The Motocorsa rider, however, did worse than the Spaniard in the morning and the gap at the end of the day was a few seconds. Christophe Ponsson, for his part, is struggling: the Frenchman is four seconds behind Redding's reference.
