While the two-day Superbike test currently taking place under the sun of Jerez de la Frontera focuses the spotlight on the "Bimota" of Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani, they are not alone on the track, as evidenced by the presence of Garrett Gerloff for Kawasaki, or Nicholas Bulega et Alvaro Bautista for Ducati, to name only the most high-profile ones.
The first day has also turned to the advantage of the 2024 vice-world champion, Nicholas Bulega, wheras'Alvarito has regained his number 19, after two seasons spent wearing #1, but continues his series of unwelcome falls.
Other drivers, less known to the general public, are also on the track, and if they are finding their marks for the 2025 season, we can do the same to get used to the new features. For example, will you be able to recognize Xavi Virgin, Tarran Mackenzie, Tetsuta Nagashima and Tommy Bridewell for Honda, Florian Marino on the Bimota, Ryan Vickers on the Motocorsa Ducati or, in WorldSSP, Tom Booth Amos Who rides a Triumph?
The major absentees from this session are: Toprak Razgatlioglu, recent 2024 world champion, who is in Türkiye to celebrate his title with his team, and his teammate Michael van der Mark. Likewise, Scott Redding has not received permission from BMW to roll on the Ducati of the MGM team, which deprives him of these first tests.
If you don't want to miss any of the highlights of these trials live, it's happening on the WorldSBK official website, which also makes this Tuesday photo gallery available to the press.
