After leaving the Austrian valleys, Loris Baz and the Avintia Racing team joined the legendary Brno circuit in the Czech Republic. Equipped with long straight lines and fast curves, the layout corresponds to the specificities of the Ducati GP14.2.

After the first free practice session during which the Frenchman got his bearings, the latter improved by more than two seconds this afternoon to set the 12th time in the combined standings ahead of Danilo Petrucci.

Tomorrow, Loris is aiming for a direct passage to Q2.

“From this morning, I felt comfortable on the bike. We continued with the same dynamic as in Austria. This afternoon we improved a lot and we made some additional adjustments to the bike which turned out to be positive. We continued with the same base of settings that we had in Austria, and we improved our stability at the front. I managed to complete a good lap. I had the opportunity to do better, but I was slightly hampered.

On the side of my foot, it's a little more delicate on this route. There are a lot of angle changes that tug on my foot a little, but it feels really good.

Tomorrow, I would like to be able to go directly to Q2 or get there through Q1. I think we have what it takes to get there, and I haven't felt this good in a while. We will work as hard as possible tomorrow, to prepare as best as possible for the race. »
