The FIM, in collaboration with Eurosport Events, continues to evolve the technical and sporting regulations of the FIM Endurance World Championship. Here is an overview of the main modifications implemented in FIM EWC 2019-2020.

Two world rankings
From the Bol d'Or, the first round of the 2019-2020 FIM EWC championship, two separate rankings will be established for teams and manufacturers, a FIM EWC World Championship ranking for Formula EWC teams, a World Cup ranking FIM Endurance for Superstock teams. At the end of the season, two driver rankings will be established in these two categories taking into account the team rankings for drivers having participated in at least 75% of the season's races.

Qualifying time
To qualify, a driver must have achieved a time at least equal to 108% (compared to 109% previously) of the time of the fastest driver in their group. The regulations already provide for a minimum qualification time of 107% in 2020-2021.

Limitation of the number of tires in qualifying
The number of tires authorized is now only limited in qualifying and controlled by stickers allocated to the teams. In Formula EWC as in Superstock, seven tire stickers are awarded per team (reduced to five stickers if the team is made up of two drivers instead of three).

Single fuel supplier
Improving safety at all EWC events is a priority objective shared by the FIM and Eurosport Events.
To improve safety conditions during the distribution, transport and storage of gasoline during EWC events and to ensure that no team will be able to store more than 60 liters of gasoline in its box, the FIM has accepted that Eurosport Events sets up a single fuel supplier for the 2019-2020 season.
This supplier, Panta Racing fuel, is already known and used in other FIM World Championships. It will regulate distribution to the teams and transport gasoline to the circuits so that no team has to transport gasoline to the paddocks by its own means.
Taking into account the permanent fuel distribution system at Le Mans which already ensures an optimal level of safety on the pit lane and in the boxes, Panta Racing fuel will provide a single fuel for all EWC events with the exception of the 24 Hours. Motorcycles.
Special financial assistance for permanent EWC teams is offered by Eurosport Events to help cushion the increase in price per liter.

Approved helmets
From 1er January 2020, riders must be equipped with a helmet approved by the FIM as part of the FIM Racing Homologation Program already implemented since June 3 in MotoGP and WorldSBK. Approved helmets are listed on www.frhp.org

Approved machines
Formula EWC teams will be able to enter a machine from those approved for World Superbike. Previously, Formula EWC and Superstock had to choose from machines homologated for the Superstock 1000. List of approved machines
