Ahead of the Czech Grand Prix, Maximo Quiles holds a commanding lead over the rest of the Moto3 field. The Spaniard, already boasting five victories this season, has a 61-point advantage over his closest rival, Alvaro Carpe, and arrives on familiar terrain. Last year, the championship leader finished second in the race, behind 2025 champion José Antonio Rueda. This time, he fully intends to reach the top step of the podium in Brno.

Hakim Danish left nothing for his rivals this Friday in Brno. Leading both practice sessions, the MSI driver set a new benchmark on the Czech circuit, already lapping nearly three-tenths of a second faster than Guido Pini's pole position time last year. The number 13 driver finished ahead of David Almansa and Maximo Quiles, the championship leader who has yet to find the necessary pace to break the 2-minute, 5-second barrier.
His closest rival in the championship, Alvaro Carpe, is right behind him in 4th place, while Joel Esteban completes the top 5. Scott Ogden's impressive 6th place is also worth noting. The CIP driver is just over a tenth of a second behind the championship leader this Friday afternoon.
As a reminder, the 14 fastest riders on Friday secured their direct entry to Moto3 Q2 for the Czech Grand Prix. The remaining riders will battle for the four remaining spots in Q1 tomorrow afternoon. Among those who failed to advance are Veda Pratama, Marco Morelli, and Adrian Fernandez. Guido Pini, the 2025 pole-sitter, narrowly qualified with the 14th fastest time.
