Despite his passion for motorcycling, his years of work and his career, Juanfran Guevara announced his retirement as a professional rider. The reasons which led to this decision were well thought out in advance and are mainly personal. Guevara wants to thank for all the love received during his eleven years in the competitive world.

Juanfran Guevara: “It was a very difficult and thoughtful decision that I made with the help of, first of all, my family, all the directors of the Fan Club and some of the main sponsors who supported me throughout these years. My passion for the world of motorcycling has not changed at all, but different reasons, economic and especially personal, gave rise to this irrevocable decision.

I decided to focus my career on the business world, studies that I followed all these years while participating in the Motorcycle World Championship. The point has come where I believe that, in this way, I will be able to progress further as a person, and also to devote more time to different projects that I have developed in recent years and which, until now, I have not been able to defend as they deserve.

Anyone who is or has been in this world knows everything that must be sacrificed to give 100% on the circuits. I want to spend more time with my family and recover, in a certain way, friends and people I have neglected.

I would like to thank the RBA-BOÉ Racing Team for their understanding and I wish you good luck for your next seasons in the Motorcycle World Championship. thanks for your support and for trusting me during these years.

Thanks also to Team Murcia for being with me from the beginning and taking care of my management from the beginning until today. Thanks to all the sponsors who have bet for me since the beginning of my racing career in the Murcia Regional Championship, accumulating more than 40 podiums in the national championships, obtaining the second place at the European Championship and carrying my name to different continents through the Motorcycle World Championship, achieving the dream of riding a MotoGP podium.

Finally, and for me the most important, you are all those fans who have worn the 58 on all the circuits as the symbol of your support. The Fan Club will be a part of me throughout my life. You were the reason I gave everything more to this world. There will never be enough words to thank you for everything.

I am closing a stage of my life which has taken with me a multitude of moments, and above all, wonderful people that I will never forget. To all of you, my parents and Miguel, THANK YOU. “
