Arriving in New Jersey with a 46-point lead in the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship, Josh Herrin clinched his second title in the category, eleven years after his first. Throughout the weekend, the No. 2 driver continued to highlight the valuable support of his French garage neighbor, Loris Baz, who he hopes to have back by his side in 2025.

Josh Herrin, the new MotoAmerica Superbike champion, was crowned this weekend after a tense Race 1 at New Jersey Motorsports Park. He finished the race in the lead, celebrating this triumph in the best possible way.

A teammate of French rider Loris Baz, Herrin's first words upon arrival were about the relationship he has with the latter. Considering the Frenchman as much more than just a teammate, the new number 1 did not fail to emphasize throughout the weekend that he wanted to stay by his side next year, as their relationship pushes him to become better.

"I don't like to answer this question because it makes it seem like I didn't like my other teammates, confides the latter when asked if Baz was the best garage neighbour he's ever had in his career. If I could pick one teammate out of all the teammates I've had in my entire career, yeah, Loris would be the guy I would pick. It's not like I've had terrible teammates, but Loris has been the best teammate I've ever had, and I enjoy life with him. He and his girlfriend, Joyce, help me with a lot of things. I hope next year is the same."

While the tricolor above all sought not to disturb Herrin during the Saturday race, knowing that the latter was playing for the title, he defended his pole position body and soul the next day, to secure his first victory in MotoAmerica.

“I am so happy that Loris won today, Herrin then let go. This was meant to be for the team, and it was just a super special moment. Thanks to everyone involved in this project for making the year as great as it was.”

A relationship that is also appreciated by the number 76, who has also expressed his wish to keep his place in the Warhorse Racing Ducati structure in 2025 after finishing on this positive note.

“I’m so proud of what we’ve done as a team this season, but especially since the last meeting in Austin, He added. I would like to thank Team Principal Bobby Shek, Ducati North America and Warhorse HSBK Racing for giving me the chance to return to America after my 2021 season.”

“This weekend was different within the team. Maybe it was less pressure because Josh won the title, but we worked really well on this track. I knew I was close to winning a race this year, but I’m so happy to finally do it. I really want to come back next year with this team. I love everyone on this team.” concludes Loris Baz.
