Germany

After a Dutch Grand Prix completely dominated by Aprilia, MotoGP returns this weekend to one of its most iconic circuits. The Sachsenring hosts the 11th round of the 2026 season with a question that perfectly sums up the weekend's stakes: will Marc Marquez regain the initiative in Germany on his favorite track, or will Aprilia continue its show of force?

The previous contest at Assen confirmed the change in hierarchy seen over several races. Raul fernandez established himself during the Sprint beforeAi Ogura does not secure the first MotoGP victory of his career on Sunday, offering a perfect weekend to Aprilia and to the TrackHouse team.

Even Marco Bezzecchi, who suffered a heavy crash on Sunday while among the weekend's frontrunners, had demonstrated the potential of the RS-GP. His retirement, however, allowed George Martin to regain sole control of the championship. The Noale-based manufacturer thus arrives at Sachsenring with a level of confidence rarely seen in recent seasons.

Conversely, Ducati had an unusually quiet weekend. Fabio DiGiannantonio salvaged the situation by finishing on the Sprint podium before going fourth on Sunday, becoming the best representative of Borgo Panigale at Assen.

The official drivers suffered more. Marc Marquez had to settle for sixth place on Saturday and then seventh on Sunday, while Francesco Bagnaia, after a complicated Sprint, abandoned during the main race.

Sachsenring, revenge in Germany? Yes, but for whom?

But the context changes completely in GermanyWith twelve victories at the Sachsenring, including nine in MotoGP, Marquez He returns to the circuit that has most often served as his stage of expression. Even physically diminished, he naturally remains the overwhelming favorite of the weekend.

At KTM, Enea Bastianini continues an encouraging rise in form. The Italian had a solid weekend at Assen with an eighth place finish in the Sprint then a sixth position in Grand Prix.

Peter AcostaHowever, he did not enjoy the same success. After a decent sprint, the Spaniard withdrew on Sunday before undergoing surgery to treat carpal tunnel syndrome in his right arm. His physical condition will naturally be one of the key points of focus during the German weekend.

Japanese manufacturers continue to progress, but are still far from playing leading roles. Fabio Quartararo showed some encouraging signs with Yamaha in Assen, while Honda placed Diogo Moreira et Luca Marini on the verge of the Top 10, but unable to compete with European manufacturers.

The weather conditions should make things easier for the teams. Initial forecasts predict dry and sunny weather for all three days, providing ideal conditions for this first round before the summer break.

All eyes will now be on Marc MarquezIf the Spaniard truly wants to revive his title hopes MotoGP, the Sachsenring This appears to be the perfect opportunity to remind everyone why this circuit has remained its true kingdom for over a decade. The show starts this Friday, and here's the program:
