Solid performance of Fabio DiGiannantonio at Brno. The Italian rider, despite again struggling with his start, still put in a decent performance to finish fourth. He was one of the day's big winners: Marco Bezzecchi, the championship leader, crashed, as did Pedro Acosta, and Jorge Martin was quite far behind. The consistency of "Diggia" shouldn't be underestimated; he's shown, once again, that he can perform in all situations.
Di Giannantonio nevertheless lost two positions at the very beginning of the race, and he was never able to catch Marc Marquez, who was third. "The departure went well in the end." I immediately found myself ahead of Moreira, but I made a small mistake with my tire choice.I was much faster in some corners than Marc, who was behind me, but I lacked grip on the exit, especially in the first few laps. In the final laps, I attacked, hoping to close the gap, thinking the driver in front of me might experience a drop in performance on the soft tires, but to no avail.I take responsibility for this; we need to work better with the team for the future. he told the press.
Close, but not done yet.

In hindsight, on the Ducati, the soft tire was the best option, chosen by both factory riders. Di Giannantonio had opted for the medium, and, of course, he regrets it. « It's easy to say now. We made a mistake and I take responsibility for it, because ultimately, I'm the team leader and it's only right that I take responsibility.I thought the soft was an excellent option, but we saw the temperatures rise… we also knew that the medium was very good; besides, even Ogura fought well. But the tender one was the best, we made a mistake. » he added.

This weekend, Valentino Rossi is trackside. The team boss has also been making headlines since taking over, notably for his absences. Indeed, Rossi is more often seen elsewhere than with his riders. In a lighthearted remark, Di Giannantonio jokingly asks him to be there more often. « I keep saying that we need him in every race until the end of the championship. It's fantastic to have him as a coach. I'm striving to achieve as many podium finishes and victories as possible. Only by making the most of each race will we be in the best possible position at the end of the season." he concluded.
