The press conference at the end of the Grand Prix Indonesia MotoGP 2025 gathered in Mandalika Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), Peter Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) for their post-race debriefing.

Fermin Aldeguer claimed his first MotoGP victory, becoming the second-youngest rider to win in the premier class, at the age of 20 years and 183 days.
Marc Marquez remains the youngest in history, at 20 years and 63 days, when he won in Austin in 2013.
Fermin Aldeguer also becomes the first rider to win in his rookie season in MotoGP since George Martin in Styria in 2021.

He is now 8th in the championship, just 10 points behind Fabio Di Giannantonio and 23 points ahead fabio quartararo which he has just passed.

As usual, we report here in full the words of the latter, without the slightest formatting, even if it is translated from English.

🎤 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Sunday press conference here at the Pertamina Indonesia Grand Prix. We have our top three riders from an unforgettable day for the BK8 Gresini Racing Ducati Team. What a day for Fermin Aldeguer, the second-youngest rider to win in MotoGP history, the first rookie to do so since Jorge Martin in 2021, great job by Fermin!
What a fight also for second place for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider, Pedro Acosta, second for the Spanish rider.
And to complete this all-Spanish podium, a double podium for the Gresini Racing team, Alex Marquez. Gentlemen, congratulations to all three of you! It was a very, very long and difficult race, 27 laps in very hot conditions.

🎤 Fermin, we're going to start the press conference with you. What a race!
I mean, nine seconds ahead at one point, you waited patiently behind Pedro in the opening laps, and you're, for the first time, a MotoGP race winner. How does that feel?
Fermin Aldeguer:
“Yes, I'm super happy. I'm super happy to win the race, but even more so, maybe about my weekend, because we didn't start in the best way. On the second lap of free practice, I crashed, I lost the first session, and yes, after that we improved throughout the weekend. I think this new rear tire helped me here, for sure, because we saw other riders, the other Ducatis, more at the limit. And in Moto2 too, in Austria, when the tire is harder, I'm very fast, I manage the throttle very well, I have a good pace, and yes, nothing more.
Incredible! I want to say thank you to Ducati for their support, to the whole Gresini team, because they all helped me during my rookie season. It's not easy, but we have to keep going like this and enjoy this moment."

🎤 After a great early battle with Pedro, you led this Grand Prix for about 20 laps. You built up a lead of up to nine seconds, which is a lot in these conditions and in this heat. How did you manage to stay focused for so long, Fermin?
“Yesterday, the Sprint was long, it was 13 laps, and I led 12 of them. Today, from the first lap, I felt very good, but it was difficult to overtake Marini and Pedro. I overtook Marini in the same place where I had tried yesterday, on the last lap against Bez, and I overtook Pedro in the same corner where I had lost yesterday in the Sprint. I improved, I improved! (laughs) And yes, after, when I saw on the board that there were still 20 laps to lead, a lot of things went through my head, but I tried to stay super focused, to maintain my pace. Lap after lap, I widened the gap a little more. With the team, we said to ourselves yesterday: “Don’t put the name of the one behind me.”, because yesterday, when I saw “Bez,” I made more mistakes. And today, I was waiting for Bez, because all weekend, he had been faster than me. But he never came back. I saw that, lap after lap, I was increasing my lead, and that motivated me to keep pushing.

🎤 One last question for you, Fermin. Of course, the success of MotoGP is immense here in Indonesia: you are treated like real rock stars, almost like Hollywood celebrities. I just heard that you have just been elected racing driver by fans. What's your reaction to this news? Congratulations, by the way!
“Thank you, thank you very much. I like this kind of thing. That's it, just... thank you.”

🎤 Fermin, do you remember Jorge Martin's crash here two years ago, when he was leading with the same margin as you? Did you think, at any point, that nine seconds was a lot and that maybe it would be better to slow down a little?
“Yes, and even when I was on the bike, I remembered that crash of Jorge Martin. I had already watched his race at that time. And yes, but sometimes it is better to continue at your own pace, because if you reduce the speed, you make more mistakes. I tried all the time to stay focused. That pace of 30.8, 30.7 was comfortable for me, without going to the limit, and with a little margin. And yes, it was better to continue at that pace, especially since I hadn't done many laps on the medium. I didn't know what would happen with more laps in a row, and I managed like that.”
