This Sunday, February 13, 2022, Remy Gardner answered questions from journalists from the Mandalika circuit in Indonesia, at the end of the three days of IRTA testing on this new circuit located on the island of Lombok.

We went to listen (via teleconferencing software) to the words of the Australian driver, who finished these last official tests in 23rd place.

As usual, we report here the words of Remy Gardner without the slightest formatting.

Remy, what assessment do you draw from this last day of testing in Mandalika?
When we arrived here I was hoping to do a bit better, but my wrist is still quite sore, and we haven't managed to find a good direction in the development of the bike so it's true that it's been a bit difficult for us to be honest. But at least we managed to complete a lot of laps, which is probably the most important thing at the moment. I just hope that the next two weeks will allow my wrist to recover well.

What is your goal for the first round of the season?
I have no worries at the moment, there are no particular expectations, I just take things as they come. We have to learn in all areas, and be ready when competition resumes.

In which sector do you still feel limited by your motorcycle?
I still feel some limitations at the front of the bike. I don't want to go over the limit and have to find myself recovering the bike in a bad position, because I'm not even sure my wrist would allow me to make that kind of rescue. So we still have some room on this point.

Did the transition from Moto2 to MotoGP ultimately go well during these different test sessions?
I think we still need to find a base of settings that I can feel a little more comfortable with than I do now. I think some tracks will suit us more than others, but the goal at the moment is just to feel a little more comfortable with the bike.
