Shark Helmets announces that it has won its lawsuit in France against LS2. You will find all the details in the press release below.

The equipment manufacturer SHARK Helmets designs and manufactures helmets with the aim of guaranteeing high levels of performance and safety for 2-wheel drivers. The know-how and expertise of the French brand, created 30 years ago, are today recognized throughout the world; innovation is at the heart of the development of its products.

SHARK Helmets systematically protects the technological advances developed by its teams against any illegal copy or counterfeit.

Inventor of the EVOLINE concept and model, the first helmet in the world to have obtained dual jet & full-face approval, SHARK Helmets has initiated proceedings since 2013 for infringement of the French part of its European patent no. EP 1 806 986 B1, following the marketing in France of the FF393 CONVERT modular helmet from the Chinese brand LS2, marketed by the company Tech Design Team (LS2 distribution company for Europe).

This approach to the Paris High Court was the subject of a first instance decision on January 28, 2016 in favor of SHARK Helmets judging that the FF393 CONVERT model of the LS2 brand effectively infringed SHARK Helmets' European patent n ° EP 1 806 986 B1. Tech Design Team was prohibited from importing, holding, exhibiting, offering for sale and marketing the incriminated model on the French market.

Tech Design Team appealed this judgment.

The Paris Court of Appeal, by judgment of October 26, 2018, ruled that the FF393 CONVERT helmet of the LS2 brand sold by the company Tech Design Team (LS2 distribution company for Europe) constitutes an infringement of the patent of the company SHARK Helmets and confirmed the judgment rendered at first instance in all its provisions.

SHARK Helmets will continue its legal actions to defend its innovations and thus guarantee its customers ever more efficient, exclusive and safe products.
