Tomorrow, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 January, the Kawasaki and Honda HRC teams of the WorldSBK Superbike World Championship will meet at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto for the first test of the year, just like last December when both teams performed the last test of the year on this circuit.

The test, organized by the official Kawasaki Racing Team, will feature official Kawasaki riders with Jonathan Rhea et alex lowes on the Andalusian track, while the HRC WorldSBK rookies, Xavi Verge et Iker Lecuona, will participate.

The Puccetti Racing team will also be present on both days, sharing the track with both teams, in the SBK category with Lucas Mahias, who will return to training after a period of inactivity due to injury, while in the World Supersport category the Turkish driver Can Öncü, accompanied by Italian Yari Montella, will be present.

Another team present will be Motozoo Racing by Puccetti with Benjamin Currie et jeffrey buis. The MV Agusta Reparto Corse team will have its Supersport drivers Bahattin Sofuoglu et Niki Tuuli on track, while the Provec Kawasaki team will ride with the Spanish rider Ana Carrasco.

A total of 13 riders will be present in Jerez for the first two days of testing of the year for these two WorldSBK categories.
