For the last chance to find themselves in a top 10 which would avoid the tough test of the repechage to reach Q.2, the MotoGP riders discovered a Silverstone track less welcoming than Friday. The rain had watered the bumpy English bitumen, leaving it at barely 20°. Suffice to say that the work promised to be perilous for those who had missed the boat the day before.

Before launching into battle, here is the situation in table.

Alex Espargaro seemed to refuse the fight from the outset, preferring to take it easy before the qualifications. Fourth Friday on his Aprilia, he could hope to keep this rank given the track conditions and thus avoid taking unnecessary risks.

Jack Miller As for him, he got into the swing of things and posted a 2'10.454 showing the difficulty of progressing on the track in these conditions.

Johann zarco also came out, against the indications of a Hervé Poncharal who would have liked to keep him dry in the box. A philosophy diligently adopted by the fastest of the moment, Cal Crutchlow...

Valentino Rossi, for his part, was hard at work and even signed an honorable 2'05.514. His teammate Vinales As for him, he remained in the box. Marquez, Pedrosa, Baptist, Baz et Rabat also occupied the land. Marc Marquez carried the benchmark in 2'03.930 twenty minutes from the goal.

The last fifteen minutes decided Vinales to go to coal. Crutchlow also came out of lethargy and achieved a fine 2'02.893. Marquez responded in 2'02.740. zarco pushed up to 2'01.734, showing a more welcoming track which the Moto2 riders will enjoy in a few minutes. Redding it was getting hot...

But the hierarchy of Friday will never have been threatened and, in the Q.2 to come, the two brothers will be invited Asparagus. One with an Aprilia and the other on the handlebars of a KTM led by a Pol who is even more precarious Bradley Smith to his tenured position. Q.1 will see Pedrosa trying to save his weekend and two Suzukis eager to find the best while having nostalgia for last year, where the GSX-RR was a candidate for victory...
