In this summer period, what better way to celebrate Yamaha's 4th consecutive victory at the Suzuka 8 Hours than to treat yourself to a collector's T-shirt, sweatshirt or cap in the colors sported by the official R1 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the legendary supersport bike?
The YZF-R1 was a sensational success from its debut in 1998.
Inspired by the original colors of the 1998 R1, and on the occasion of the Suzuka 8 Hours, Yamaha is currently introducing a “capsule” clothing collection in its dealer network to pay homage to this iconic Supersport model.
The collection will be available at all European dealerships at the end of July.
The "capsule" collection consists of the following pieces, all featuring the red and white colors of the first R1 from 1998:
One hoodie, two different T-shirts, two different caps.
In addition, the Yamaha endurance teams competing in the Suzuka 8 Hours displayed this special red and white livery.
While Yamaha has achieved four consecutive victories at Suzuka, the slogan for this year's Suzuka 8 Hours is "R1 revolution: the 'R' evolution"
