LaLiga and Dorna Sports have reached an agreement which will see LaLiga's technological content protection department lend its services to the protection of the audiovisual rights of the championships managed by Dorna Sports. This includes the Italian-based Dorna WSBK organization, which runs WorldSBK.
With the signing of this agreement, LaLiga and Dorna Sports strengthen their commitment to the fight for the protection of the legal distribution of content, from a global perspective and in collaboration with television operators and digital platforms.
As part of this partnership, LaLiga will use its own tools to monitor and remove illegal MotoGP™ and WorldSBK audiovisual content hosted on social networks, digital platforms and mobile applications.
Fake profiles that make fraudulent use of the Dorna Sports logo and name will also be monitored and eliminated, as well as those relating to Dorna Championships.
In addition, LaLiga's human, technical and legal resources will be used to monitor and deindex pages that use illegal Dorna Sports content in search engines. Tools created by LaLiga's Content Technology Protection team also track, prosecute and compile legal evidence to combat illegal transmissions via IPTV and Cardsharing.
Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga: “With this alliance, LaLiga extends its commitment to the fight against audiovisual piracy. Partnering with Dorna Sports motivates us to continue working to protect the audiovisual value of competitions. The fight against piracy is a top priority for LaLiga and we will continue to invest in technical tools and human resources to continue progress in this area. »
Manel Arroyo, CEO of Dorna Sports: “The signing of this agreement between LaLiga and Dorna Sports shows our total commitment to the fight against piracy. The protection of audiovisual rights is and has always been of the utmost importance to us because, due to the exclusive and attractive nature of the content we produce, it suffers greatly from the consequences of piracy. Both MotoGP™ and WorldSBK will greatly benefit from the tools created by LaLiga's technological protection team, which is a global benchmark and therefore a guarantee of security for our championships. »
