We certainly haven't heard the last of this sanction imposed by the FIM MotoGP Stewards panel, which could prove decisive in awarding the title, especially since sanctions seem to be becoming increasingly frequent across all categories. Which EddieO'Shea either disqualified at the end of the Moto3 Practice for a bike that was too light, or: the rule is clear and the application of a severe sanction is legitimate.
But if the MotoGP championship leader is suspended for an admittedly unacceptable gesture made in the heat of the moment, some cynics might say that doing the same thing to the president himself in France would have far fewer consequences…
