Aleix Espargaró delivered a stunning performance during qualifying for the British Grand Prix. The Spaniard set a time of 1'57.309, lowering the previous Silverstone circuit record by four tenths and thus taking pole position. This seventh pole in the premier category for the Aprilia rider confirms his current form and that of his machine.

Behind him, the Ducati official Pecco Bagnaia et Enea Bastianini complete the first row. The Italian, although having completed a fast lap, showed himself frustrated by the behavior of certain drivers. Moreover, bagnaia experienced a problem with his visor on his second attempt, which forced him to abort his round.
