MotoGP, Sepang Test Day 3: Suzuki and Rins will definitely be contenders.

Listening to the comments of the manufacturers involved in MotoGP at the end of the three days of testing carried out in Sepang, everyone has a smile. Some, however, are more fixed than others. But there is certainly one who is radiant. It is worn at Suzuki, and particularly illuminates the face of Álex Rins. A pair to be reckoned with this year.

Moreover, the 23-year-old Spaniard proclaimed to anyone who would listen as he left Malaysia that 2019 “will be a very interesting world championship”. Second during the first two days at Sepang, Alex Rins was however content with twelfth place during the last one. But after 75 laps completed and dedicated to evaluating the new features, the time had never been a priority. The sign of great serenity!

« The day was very positive, as were the two previous days », assures the teammate of Joan Mir that holds the top spot. " We tried a lot of things and developed the bike a little more, so I think our package is even better now. I was able to do a lot of laps in the 1'59 bracket. We certainly need to continue working and try other things in Qatar, including those we haven't had the chance to check out here. The engineers will continue to work. I think the championship will be really interesting this year” concluded alex rins.

For its part, Davide Brivio could play the happy boss: “ At the end of these three days, we are satisfied with the work accomplished » – said the team director. “ We tested a lot of things and the riders worked intensively on the development of the bike. We confirmed our 2019 package and compared different parts and components. Now everything is clearer as to what works best. We will now move on to Qatar, where we will put the finishing touches for the first race. Alex was very focused and fast, with lots of good laps. For Joan Mir, we are happy with her progress and her work. Sylvain Guintoli helped us a lot in choosing the pieces ».
